Kyungdong Development was established in 1990 and is specialized in the manufacture and sale of coal briquette,
the most commonly used fuel of everyday people in the past. It is the largest coal briquette manufacturer in Korea,
with high-quality anthracite produced by Kyungdong Mine (Sangdeok Mine Station).

Kyungdong Development operates two coal briquette factories - Eumseong and Jecheon in Chungcheongbuk-do and puts every effort into
ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

It received awards for being an excellent coal briquette factory for quality control twice (in 1998 and 1999) by Eumseong County and Jecheon County in Chungcheongbuk-do. Its latest production facility was installed in October 1996. The system is fully automated, from input to the loading of raw materials, and produces coal briquette of even quality.
