Divided from Kyungdong Co., Ltd and incorporated in March 2014, Kyungdong Development Co., Ltd. is specialized in producing and selling KD wood powder, wood pellet, and agricultural bio-char for fuel at home and abroad. These are developed by applying high-temperature drying technology (condensing, waste heat recovery, and dry distillation gas recombustion technology) based on the firm’s long-term technical know-how in biomass fuel and materials.
Kyungdong Development is making great efforts to bring the possibility of biomass into reality in the industrial field to achieve a reduction in carbon emissions and to change the energy paradigm into an eco-friendly one. It is completing the vertical systematization of the business, from the supply of biomass fuel to product manufacturing and the supply and operation of fuel facilities, including the completion of a wood chip plant in 2013, a wood powder plant in 2014, and a wood pellet plant in Indonesia in 2015.
Status and Plan of Domestic/Overseas Production Facilities
A stable supply-demand system of raw materials is being constructed via the additional development of biomass resources overseas (Indonesia, Russia, etc.), as well as large domestic production facilities.
